A third of brands posted nothing in thirty days
588 brands, 30 days to 11 August 2026: 219 of them, 37.2 percent, added no Instagram post at all. The median brand added three. 140 brands, 23.8 percent, post twelve or more a month.
In June, 47.6 percent of 252 brands posted less than their own baseline, 38.5 percent at least 30 percent less. Falling posting streaks: 48 brands. Rising: 8.
What it means
In summer 2026 six times more brands are posting less than more. Silence is the default setting, not the exception.
How it was measured
Posts added in 30 days from the Instagram profile counter, snapshot 11 August 2026, 588 brands. Cadence shift June 2026 against each brand's own baseline, 252 brands. Deleted posts distort the counter slightly.
